Charter Launch

Starting a charter school is quite an undertaking. Which is precisely why the Association created Charter Launch. A comprehensive program to help lead you through the entire process, from building a team to opening your doors on the first day.

With Charter Launch you get:

More than 70 hours of direct support for school developer groups
A combination of one-on-one sessions with a charter facilitator, workshops, presentations by experts and site visits

As a developer groups you receive:

Access to successful charter petitions
Model school policies
A thorough petition review
Mock authorizer presentation practice

Once your charter is approved you’ll receive:

Individualized support in the initial stages of plan implementation

At this point, you can transition to the second step, a leadership and support program called California Charter Quality Institute.

California Charter Quality Institute

Take the next step in school development, a comprehensive support program called the California Charter Quality Institute. It’s designed to help ensure your school reaches sustainability and a high degree of quality in those crucial first few years of operation.

CCQI will help your school leadership team create:

Superior student learning results
A culture of continuous quality improvement
Sound business and fiscal operations
An effective governing board

Key program components include:

The CCQI Leadership Residency

Intensive 5-day retreat the summer prior to school opening
CCQI faculty and coaches will help you develop a strategic action plan
Key issues concerning instruction, curriculum, quality improvement, board governance, human resources and more will be addressed

Coaching

Throughout the entire three years, some of the most accomplished veteran charter leaders will provide support both on-site and via phone and email
CCQI faculty will provide coaching tailored to the focus areas of your school (ie, literacy, project-based learning etc)

Regional Workshops

Designed to help school teams tackle learning and organizational challenges
Topics include: Effective Governance, Project-Based Learning and more
