Charter Schools Legal Defense Fund

Legal challenges continue to be a major obstacle in the development of high quality charter schools. Many schools are forced to divert financial resources away from educational programs in order to fight these battles.

The Association’s Charter Schools Legal Defense Fund:

Is guided by an advisory committee of education attorneys and litigators experienced in bringing about statewide change
Provides 24-month, zero interest loans for qualifying member schools to cover legal expenses
Helps ensure that all California charter school students will have access to the programs, facilities and resources they need for a high-quality education
