Summit Public Schools

“I FEEL LIKE I AM ON TRACK FOR COLLEGE.
THIS IS BECAUSE BY THE TIME I GRADUATE,
SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING WILL BE SECOND
NATURE TO ME.”

OUR APPROACH • Our Impact

Summit Schools:

Ensure students are not only accepted into a four-year college, but truly prepared for success. We value the skills of innovation, creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. We also value students' ability to self-direct, drive and own their learning. Today and tomorrow's workforce demands it of them.

Reimagine the role of the teacher to be high-impact at all times. In Summit schools, teachers facilitate deeper learning experiences and mentor students. They are given the freedom to focus on supporting every student's individual needs rather than on mundane tasks. Summit teachers engage in 40 days of dedicated professional development each year.

Embody a culture of innovation across the organization to drive continued success and improvement through a disciplined use of data, student and teacher feedback and by keeping students' needs at the heart of every decision.

Most importantly, Summit seeks to realize the promise of public charter schools as laboratories of innovation. The Summit Model, our tools and all learning resources are available to everyone and anyone. As a part of Summit's commitment to inspire change in public education, Summit actively shares and collaborates with educators, parents and students across the country and around the world.
